Travelogues.. Hanoi, Langkawi, Bali, Singapore, Masters Football Asia, Maroon5, Melaka, Singapore..
It has been so long that I didn't write in my blog and do any traveling like I did before. It was quite tough with the situation that I'm having in the office and life sometime not so kind enough to myself. My work was great, but I don't have anybody to assist me during my absent, so taking a long leave would be very difficult. But yet, traveling is in me and I love it so much, so I just want to share some of my picturesque short break since early this year till now.
I was in Hanoi, Langkawi and Bali from 30 Nov - 11 December of 2010. That was a very long end-of-year holiday. Left to Hanoi with MH just to enjoying the weather and relaxing the mind from thinking about work (but it doesn't really work). I thought, I've planned well, the project should have been completed, unfortunately, things doesn't work that smooth. I still have to do my work during my holiday. Laptop should have not been allowed during the holiday. I stayed in Somerset Grand Hanoi, a service apartment. These internationally managed accommodations are centrally located, very near to Hanoi's Old Quarter. It was walking distance to most of the places, such as, The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Coming back from Hanoi, I took AA to Langkawi, to meet my family for a 4 days and 3 night's vacation. It was fun to be around the kids and family. A bit tiring but priceless!.. All of them were driving from Klang-Perak-Kedah and took a ferry to Langkawi. We stayed in Aseania Hotel, I booked 3 rooms for all of us. A 3-star hotel, lack of facilities but the kids are having so much fun with the swimming pool. It was clean and nice and full of kids coz of school holiday. We have our transport to move around and we enjoying the 'makan-makan' - Nice food!. After 4 days of fun, sightseeing & makan-makan, they sending me to the airport, and they continue their holiday in Kedah for few nights.
And as for me, my third journey was to Bali. I've been to Bali 7 times and still want to visit this beautiful island. Even though I was stopped by the Custom Officer and they did a thorough check-up on me and checked all my belongings; maybe they thought this single lady is carrying drugs into Bali. But after all, they said sorry to me. But yet I will definitely come back to Bali again. As for this time, I stayed in Bali Garden Hotel in Kuta, but the mistake was, I didn't know they are having major renovation. I couldn't get the room I've booked, I have to request to change the room but still I cannot get the room which I've booked online. It was very disappointed but, thinking that I’m on holiday, why do I need to become tense over a small matter, enjoying the moment while you can. On my third day, I rent a car and driver to move around Bali. The rest of the day, was shopping, SPA and eating.. And it was 'Hari Raya Kuningan' in Bali.. the sad was, I don't know where I save all the photos...
In February, during CNY, I took a coach (Aeroline) to Singapore, depart in the morning 9am from Sunway Pyramid and reach Singapore Harbour City about 3pm. Aeroline served drink & meal, as for that day, sandwich from Subway and Milo/Nescafe & Mineral water. Stop at Pagoh R&R for a break, than continue. It was rainy season and I saw flooding along the way from Klang valley to down south. For this visit, I'm staying at Orchard Hotel near Hard Rock. The main agenda for this trip was only for 'makan-makan' and shopping.
13 March... Master Football Asia in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil..
29 April... Maroon 5 in town... I fall in love with this guy! Adam Levine..
21 May.. a Family Holiday at Homestay Kuala Sg Baru was organized by my Uncle and four family (from my father side) was involved. It's only for one night but it was fun. The Homestay provide all meals, so we only need to enjoy all the session. We had mandi-manda in the sea, collecting 'remis', crabs, playing along the beach, kites and we organized telematches. The kids had so much fun, so do the adults. At night, after Maghrib, we had 'tahlil' and continue with the dinner. The food was marvelous, thanks to Uncle Rahman & Kak Ros, the owner of Homestay Kuala Sungai Baru.
On the 26th of May, I went to Singapore again and this time is for my birthday and Singapore Sales. It was crazy sales but the currency exchange are mad. I bought some branded clothing that is on 50-70% sales. And for this trip, I was staying at Royal Plaza on the Scotts Hotel. Nice hotel, nice room and near Orchard Road.
I love traveling. I'm glad I had the chances to do so and enjoyed every moment, especially the time with my beloved family and friends. I hope I can do more traveling and I can share it with all of you.
Coming soon.... Krabi...
