Yoga

Wow, Ryan Giggs doing yoga... let us Yoga!

Giggs says much of the credit for overcoming injuries in his case goes to yoga. This eco-friendly mat is stickier than most and provides excellent grip for your downward-facing dog, yet it weighs only 2lb 3oz. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/men/article5252086.ece#

True SPA?

I was invited for a free back massage at True SPA last April and decided to join (after persuaded by the consultant) as a member to enjoy their services at a very (quite) cheap consider to others in Klang Valley. As a frequent visitor to most of the SPA, I thought why not to join and stay at one place… After one month as a member, I tried to call for an appointment, the miserable started, and I experience the most terrible customer service ever. Till now, I only managed to get one Massage Treatment. I would like to share here, the same complaints from other clients…

(Taken from www.shoppingsalesqueen.com)
I was invited for a session of free back massage at True Spa to try out their service and facilities. They were professional from the start where they had a representative call to explain about the free offer right up to setting the appointment of the session. On the day itself, a couple of hours before the session, they even rang up to remind me and to say that if I’m unable to make it, I can reschedule for another day. I was impressed up to that point.
When I finally got there, there were quite a number of people, some were members waiting for their therapists while some where like me, there for a free session. The others got attended to rather quickly while I sat to wait my turn.
The person who attended to me gave me a form to fill up while I waited. I waited for the next 15 minutes and still no one came to say anything. If I did not witness how fast the other patrons were being served, I would’ve thought this was the norm. It clearly wasn’t. As I had a waiting baby and we had to rush off, I didn’t want to wait anymore and decided to walk out.
As I walked off, I told the staff at the reception counter that I didn’t want to wait any longer. They didn’t do anything to stop me and just watched me walk out. It’s strange that they had good pre-service but not so great actual service at their premise. So no free massage, and no review after all!

I have joined True Spa since last year May. I have been paying RM300 per month and I am supposed to be entitled to services such as massage, facial etc in my package. However I ended up having to pay other massage centres or visit other places for my massage, facial, manicure to be done, and the IRONY is NOT in True Spa! Does that make sense? I pay this spa RM300 per month but ended up paying extra and forced to go to other places to get my services. Why? Because it is IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment !!!! I questioned their customer service department as to why all their slots are always full, leaving only those odd honours free, which, a normal working client like me is not able to attend. Their answer (about 1 year ago ) is that they just started their business and thus most of the slots are reserved for “free trial” session to attract potential customer. We as PAYING CUSTOMER cannot help feeling that we are being CHEATED and NEGLECTED. However… 1 year later.. the same thing is still going on .. TRUE Spa is just interested to do sales but not providing services to paying customer who is ENTITLED to good services from them. Once you become a member, you will never get your appointment unless you can plan your appointment 2 months ahead, which is RIDICULOUS and UNACEPPTABLE.

IF I COULD, I WANT A REFUND, FOR IT WAS THE DUMBEST DECISION EVERTO BE A MEMBER OF TRUE SPA JAYA 33

I feel that I’m a stupid consumer and ended up becoming an angry consumer.
True Spa is not interested to solve our problems or attends to our complaints and neither do we get any feedbacks from their management nor from the front desk staff. They will just ignore you. I am left with no other option but to “speak up” ! I am resolved to approach their “potential customer” and start sharing my personal shocking and horrifying experiences with them and directing them to browse through reviews posted by other angry and unsatisfied customers in internet before they make the same mistake in signing up the membership program. Of course, the decision ultimately is in their hands, but I cannot stand idly and do NOTHING while others are being duped.
If you are an angry or an unsatisfied customer like me, please join me. Let our voices make a change, it is our DUTY and our RIGHTS as customers to send our message across to this SINGAPORE-based company make them aware that Malaysian customers deserved equally the same respect and treatment …
I’m writting this in different blog to make public aware of this TRUE spa’s trap. If you are not their member yet please be a smart consumer.

I arrive the True Spa, their say already cancel my appointment & already give another person already. I very angry, because their cancel my appointment no give me any notice & when I make appointment their say must make appointment before treatment 2 week, but another person no need appointment before treatment 2 week. I signed up with True Spa bout a year ago. The consultant was a very persuasive person and practically forced me into becoming a member. Little did i realise that this is the worst decision in my life. True Spa has a very lousy customer service and after sales follow up. They know how to market their product but not sustain their claim because in return they give bad service to their customers. I share the grief of others when they complain about not being able to get an appointment for any of the beauty treatments. I am seriously shocked to experience such BAD customer service in this era! You cant get any appointment because all slots are booked, all beauty consultants are busy…. bla bla.. and the list goes on. Come on people, what is this? We actually pay in advance for your service! As if all listed above is not bad enough, their front desk staff tend to be rude at times. Another shocking news is that my consultant fled from True Spa. I was tempted to bring this up in Malay Mail but I needed to know if other members are facing the same mistreatment as me. Now I have found out how the others feel about True Spa’s services!

F1... ?

I just do not know why but I just hate him, maybe for his arrogance. I know he is a great driver but now he is joining Ferrari, and I do not think I will support them. I’ll retired for next season... Kimi Raikkonen will always be my favorite since he started his F1 career with Sauber, but Hakkinen, he is the reasons I started to watch F1...

Blackberry Storm Vs iPhone 3G Comparison

Recently I had published a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 3G and T-Mobile G1 DVD Converter which evoked an interesting debate. (from: iphonehacks) Here comes another side-by-side comparison of Apple's iPhone 3G with RIM's BlackBerry Storm, which is considered as another iPhone Killer. BlackBerry Storm is expected to be released some time in November exclusively by Verizon in the US and Vodafone in UK.

Hardware Spec
Dimension:
Storm = 4.4 x 2.4 x 0.6 inches
iPhone 3G = 5.5 x 2.4 x 0.48 inches
Weight:
Storm = 155g
iPhone = 133g
Screen Size:
Storm = 3.2 inches
iPhone = 3.5 inches
Camera:
Storm = 3.2M pixel
iPhone = 2M pixel
Memory:
Storm = 1GB on board + 16GB expandable with MicroSD
iPhone = 8GB / 16GB (No expansion)
Battery:
Storm = 5.5hrs talk time / 360 hrs standby
iPhone = 5hrs talk time / 300 hrs standby

Unlike T-Mobile G1 that we have reviewed earlier, BlackBerry Storm "steals" the design and looks much like the iPhone 3G. However, it does not look as sleek as iPhone 3G. It's a little bit thicker (0.14inches more) and heavier (22g more) than iPhone 3G. And, surprisingly, BlackBerry Storm does not come with Wi-Fi support or they probably consider Verizon's 3G network is good enough.

BlackBerry Storm's screen is also a little bit smaller (3.2 inch) as compared to iPhone 3G (3.5 inch), however it sports a slightly higher resolution (460x360 pixels) than iPhone 3G (460x360 pixels).

Winner: iPhone 3G

Input Method

With the success of iPhone's multi-touch interface, touch is now the standard for any new smartphone. Like iPhone, Storm does not have physical slide-out keyboard and uses the screen as input, in fact its RIM's first smartphone to feature a touch screen. However, RIM highlights that the touch technology developed on Storm is somewhat different to other touch screen smartphone available. RIM refers its touch technology as "Clickable Screen". That means, when users press key on screen, they can actually feel the key pressed and release, just like you press the mouse button. They call it a game changing touch technology that makes on-screen keyboard more appealing.

Also, like T-Mobile G1, it will have built-in cut and paste capability across applications a feature missing from iPhone 3G.

Winner:Its difficult to call a winner on this one, until we get feedback from users on RIM's touch technology. We love iPhone 3G's revolutionary multi-touch interface.

Multimedia
Multimedia support is not the strong area of RIM smartphones, as they predominantly targets business users. Storm is developed with multiple support in mind to lure more casual users. Standard feature like music and video playback is included. A wide range of audio format (including MP3, AAC, WMA, etc) and video format (including MPEG4, WMV, etc). Storm also allows you to sync iTunes music files via BlackBerry Media Sync and has its own media software to manage your music.

iPhone 3G is the best iPod Apple has ever created. The music and video playback experience is awesome. And, Apple continues to update features like Genius Playlist into iPhone makes iPhone's multimedia support nearly unbeatable. With its seamless integration with iTunes Store, you can download songs wirelessly or sync it between desktop using iTunes. iPhone 3G also supports a wide range of music formats but only plays Quick Time video.

Winner: iPhone 3G

Camera & Video Recording

Apple did not upgrade the camera in iPhone 3G, its still a basic 2 megapixel camera while Storm comes with 3.2 megapixel camera and includes video recording capability. Storm also includes a flash and auto focus for its camera.

Winner: BlackBerry Storm

Modem Capability
iPhone 3G does not support tethering and Apple tends to ban any applications in App Store that adds this capability. The only option you have is to jailbreak the iPhone and use jailbreak apps such as PDANet, iPhoneModem etc. BlackBerry Storm, on the other hands, comes with tethering built-in.

Winner: BlackBerry Storm

Enterprise Feature

Apple has made quite a few strides to take market share from RIM in the enterprise area. iPhone 3G, with built-in support for Microsoft's ActiveSync protocol, lets enterprise users to access Microsoft Exchange's services. Also, it takes a great step forwards to support Cisco IPsec VPN, which is a standard in enterprise wireless security. Further, it incorporates a feature to let administrator to wipe data remotely, in case the iPhone is lost or stolen.

RIM is always the leader in enterprise wireless devices. Storm, continues to lead in this area. The enterprise support is outstanding that different security policies can be defined, such that administrator may enable or shutdown specific bluetooth profiles; and even, to disable its digital camera access.

Winner: BlackBerry Storm

To sum up, BlackBerry strikes a balance between business and causal use. It's, by far, the sleekest BlackBerry; which should help RIM lure causal customers.

Is it another iPhone killer? Its difficult to conclude. iPhone 3G and BlackBerry both come with some unique features that neither have and they are positioned differently in the market.
However, I still fail to understand the omission of Wi-Fi in BlackBerry Storm, its true that BlackBerry is targeted at the business users who use it primarily for email, but still it seems like a major disadvantage over iPhone 3G.

As a consumer device, iPhone will definitely win thanks to the iPod application, its Safari browser which is easily the most advanced web browser on a portable device which makes browsing the internet on the iPhone a treat and overall for its cool factor. But if you turn to some business-savvy users and enterprise, BlackBerry is still the de-facto choice.

RIM has also not disclosed the pricing or the official shipping date.

You can checkout the demo video of BlackBerry Storm to get an overview:

BlackBerry Storm, T-Mobile G1 and soon to be released Nokia's XpressMusic phone (Nokia's first touch screen phone) might or might not end up being iPhone killers but they are healthy competition to Apple's iPhone 3G that will ensure that Apple constantly innovates which in the end is beneficial for consumers like us.

Let us know which one is a winner from your point of view and why?

some people...

Some people think they have the most important job in the world and couldn’t be bothered with other people’s job or work or even have a little respect towards them. For some people, your job or work are worthless. They don’t even think that sometime, the lousiest works are the most important work such as garbage collector.

Your work is your responsibility, no matter how little it is, how small your contribution towards your family or even country is, you have to do it with full hearted. We simply cannot do thing half-heartedly.

Remember; always make requests; never give orders.
