Arfan's Birthday, Nasi Ambang & Nasi Kandar Sentral

It was a busy weekend... My nephew Arfan is 5th year-old yesterday (30th January), same with my best friend Nora. Happy Birthday to both of you. Love!!! We had a small family gathering at Mom's place to celebrate the boy's birthday. He is so excited, running around, calling everybody in the neighbourhood to come to the house for his birthday, eventhough it's just a small family get-together. My sister (the mother) cook for all the meals, I blow up the balloons which supposed to be done by my last sister Nini.

We organised some small games for the kids, eating apples... Gave them prizes as well. Also some lucky draw for the adults.

And me with my cousin Atiqah and niece Linda at the birthday party. I have 13-year old niece, my goodness, and the number of my nieces & nephews are growing every year...

This is what I & K bought for my nephew Arfan, A Ferrari F2007 remote control car. Actually I like the car; it's from the original model. Hopefully he knows how to take a good care of that car.

Today, my aunty calls all the family to her house for another small gathering and this luncheon is for Nasi Ambang. It is Javanese cuisine served on a tray. It's not a normal tray, but a steel round big tray and usually it contains rice, Tempe, Meehoon, fried mee, fried tauhu & veggie, coconut floss, spicy anchovies, soohuun, and many more. About 4-5 people sharing from the same tray. I forgot to take picture of it, just use your imagination.

Right after lunch, I straight away make my move to Gardens Mid Valley for some small shopping, not for me but for my other half, who never want to admit that he loves shopping too. So after that we headed to our Nasi Kandar Sentral, near KL Sentral, for a light meal. So everybody, if you want to try Nasi Kandar or some other Indians cuisine, please drop by at our new Nasi Kandar Sentral, just next to KL Sentral Monorel.
